1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of medical services provided by Premium Medical Centre, located at Plot 719, Extension 12, Gaborone, Botswana ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations of Botswana.

2. Medical Services

Premium Medical Centre provides general medical consultations, diagnostic services, laboratory testing, chronic disease management, dermatology services, and other healthcare services as licensed under Botswana's Health Professions Act.

  • All medical services are provided by qualified and registered healthcare professionals
  • Services are subject to availability and clinical appropriateness
  • Emergency services are not provided - patients requiring emergency care should contact 997 or visit the nearest hospital
  • Prescription medications require valid medical consultation and are subject to Botswana's Medicines and Related Substances Control Act

3. Patient Responsibilities

As a patient, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete medical history and information
  • Follow prescribed treatment plans and medication instructions
  • Attend scheduled appointments or provide reasonable notice of cancellation
  • Pay for services as agreed upon at the time of consultation
  • Respect our staff and other patients
  • Comply with clinic policies and procedures

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of service unless alternative arrangements have been made. We accept:

  • Cash payments
  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard)
  • Medical aid schemes (where applicable)
  • Corporate accounts (pre-approved)

Prices are subject to change without notice. Outstanding accounts may be subject to collection procedures in accordance with Botswana's Consumer Protection Act.

5. Privacy and Confidentiality

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with Botswana's Data Protection Act 18 of 2024. Your medical information will be kept confidential and only shared:

  • With your explicit written consent
  • As required by law or court order
  • For public health reporting as mandated by health authorities
  • In medical emergencies where consent cannot be obtained
  • With other healthcare providers involved in your care (with your consent)

6. Appointment Policy

  • Walk-in patients are welcome during operating hours
  • Appointments can be scheduled by phone (+267 396 4441) or WhatsApp (+267 74706707)
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment
  • Cancellations should be made at least 2 hours in advance
  • No-show fees may apply for missed appointments without notice

7. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide the highest quality medical care, medical practice involves inherent risks. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by Botswana law. We maintain professional indemnity insurance as required by the Health Professions Council of Botswana.

8. Complaints and Disputes

If you have concerns about our services, please contact us directly. Unresolved complaints may be referred to the Health Professions Council of Botswana or resolved through Botswana's consumer protection mechanisms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Botswana, including but not limited to the Consumer Protection Act, Data Protection Act 18 of 2024, Health Professions Act, and Medicines and Related Substances Control Act.
